Our Core Values have shaped the culture and defined the character of our company, guiding how we behave and make decisions. Values and ethics transcend time and define the character of an individual, community or an organization. In the realms of organizational behaviour, this translates to adherence to fair business practices, respecting individuality, encouraging talent and innovation and improving communities. These form CLD's core values.

Across every client, professional engagement, service line, geography and in our internal operations, a common set of values binds the people at CLD. To uphold the "When Execution Matters" reputation of our firm and client relationships and consistently deliver results, each member of our firm adheres to a set of core values:

  • Relationships, not Transactions We look at every client from a relationship perspective and help clients whether there is an active engagement or not. Our client relationships are not transaction focused.
  • Clients First Dropping everything for a client is not uncommon at CLD. Though some Clients express surprise at what they call a "refreshing level of responsiveness," we do it because we know that our firm exists because of our clients, not the other way around.
  • Independence, Objectivity and Integrity We follow these principles at all times - whether observed by the client or not. We do not pursue client work where there is a potential conflict of interest or where maintaining independence is difficult.
  • Taking Ownership of Client Challenges We approach our clients challenges as our own and do what it takes to deliver results - as individuals, as a team and as long term partners.
